"Arthgallo" is a name from the Arthurian Legends meaning "High honor".
The project "Arthgallo" will establish the foundations of Arboreteum in the physical world. Our aim is to purchase and secure an area of land to establish a base: an office, a tree nursery and plant an arboretum or grove of different tree species. The aim is to help preserve rare species and reduce CO2.
Arthgallo will be located in Brittany, the ancient home of Merlin, hence the Arthurian connection. "Gallo" is the traditional language of the people who live here. The Arthurian legend, through its sacred groves, mystical forests, and wise figures like Merlin, reflects a deep connection to trees and ecology - highlighting themes of reverence for nature, spiritual harmony with the environment, and the importance of ecological preservation. This connection invites us to recognise the natural world as a vital and sacred part of humanity.
The 2025 European Red List of Trees identifies several tree species that are near extinction or critically endangered within Europe. 42% of all European tree species are considered threatened. As well as improving air quality, combating climate change and supporting biodiversity Arthgallo will be looking to plant and preserve endangered trees.
Our long term dream is to create arboretums in different regions of the world. Arthgallo is the first step in creating and leaving something positive for future generations.
Deforestation and climate change is a global problem that we can not afford to ignore.
Support Arboreteum and help us make this project a reality.
